Your first order takes about a minute of your time. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.
Before you start
Turn on Layout in the app or assistant you use. See Turn on Layout in your assistant.
Add a card, so Layout can pay when you confirm.
Place the order
Say what you want. Type it like you'd text a friend. For example: "Order me an iced brown sugar latte at Starbucks."
Give it a couple of minutes. At a spot Layout hasn't seen before, building the cart takes two to three minutes, because Layout is working through the restaurant's real ordering site.
Check the preview. Layout shows you the items, the pickup spot, and the total. Look it over.
Confirm. Reply yes. Nothing gets ordered or charged until you do.
Get your pickup time. Layout places the order and tells you when it'll be ready.
Grab it. Head to the counter and say your name. It's already paid for.
Tips for your first order
Name the spot if you can, like "the Starbucks on 5th." If you don't, Layout will ask you which one rather than guessing.
Orders go in as soon as possible, so order when you actually want it.
Save your usual order and diet needs once, and Layout uses them next time.
