Place your first order

A quick walkthrough of your first Layout order, start to pickup.

Your first order takes about a minute. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.

Before you start

  • Turn on Layout in your assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok).

  • Add a card, so Layout can pay when you confirm.

Place the order

  1. Say what you want. Type it like you'd text a friend. For example: "Order me an iced brown sugar latte at Starbucks, I'll be there in 10."

  2. Check the preview. Layout shows you the items, the pickup spot, and the total. Look it over.

  3. Confirm. Reply yes. Nothing gets ordered or charged until you do.

  4. Get your pickup time. Layout places the order and tells you when it'll be ready.

  5. Grab it. Head to the counter and pick up your order.

Tips for your first order

  • Name the spot if you can, like "the Starbucks on 5th." If not, Layout finds the closest open one.

  • Add timing like "I'll be there in 10" so your food is fresh.

  • Save your usual order and diet needs once, and Layout uses them next time.
